On December 1 2011 at the 75th anniversary of the Colombian Medical Federation, Jorge E. Maldonado MD, PhD, foemrr consultant and professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic, received the Medal Cross of Esculapio, the highest honor bestowed by the Federation, for his services and dedication to the profession both in his country and abroad. Dr. Maldonado is Editor-in-Chief of ILADIBA a group o publications devoted to continued medical education.
